BEG II - C'Cn4vt

In 1925 Hanomag built 2 C'Cn4vt mallet locomotives, following the example of the mallet design, originally created by Henschel & Sohn. The first loc was for the Zell - Todtnauer Eisenbahn, nowadays also known as the Todtnauerli. The second loc was for the Albtalbahn, which was takenover in 1934 by the Brohltalbahn. The BEG II was scrapped in 1957. The locomotive of the Todtnauerli was sold to the railway museum of Blonay - Chamby in 1967.

LGB No. 23851 is one of the various versions of the mallet locomotives built by Henschel and Hanomag. Thanks to its twin motors this a very powerful locomotive, and due to the smoke and lighting this model is a real eyecatcher.
The locomotive is equipped with a Massoth XLS sounddecoder, with a mighty Visaton FRS7 speaker for powerful and deep sounds.

LGB No. 2180S is an original edition in the alternative colors of the HSB loc 99 6001. This locomotive was originally owned by the Nordhausen-Wernigeroder Bahn, where she carried a green livery with the number NWE 21. This locomotive was originally constructed as a prototype for the Einheitsdampflokomotive project of the DRG for the narrow gauge tracks. At the start of the second world war the project was halted and this sole prototype of the C-series remained, which is still in service at the HSB.

This model is equipped with a digital Massoth XLS sounddecoder, and thanks to it's powerful motor this locomotive provides an ample amount of power. The 99 6001 model of LGB is fairly popular among hobbyist, and I find myself very lucky to be in possession of one of these old beautiful green livery version.

SBB 1068 - HG 3/3

LGB No. 21470 is a stunning reproduction of the original SBB HG 3/3 steam driven rackrailway locomotive. This locomotive was used on the meter gauge Brünigbahn railway between Luzern and Interlaken, and is equipped with a secondary driving system. This second driving system is used to power the cogwheel on the steeper slopes of the track, allong with its regular driving system it's able to conquer these steep slopes.

This model is equipped with a digital Massoth XLS sounddecoder and has a very powerful motor to conquer the slopes. This beautiful engine is a nice addition to the lay-out, and is regularly employed on the rackrailway section.

DR 99 5005 - Bh2t

Voorkant van de Kleine Dicke

A well known model of the LGB collection, this variant of the Kleine Dicke is based on the DR 99 5001 steamlocomotive. Originally in service at the Spremberger Stadtbahn as locomotive number 11, build in 1925 by Borsig. After this line was put out of service the locomotive was aquired in 1957 by the Harzquer Bahn which put it to work as a switcher at Wernigerode, in 1967 the locomotive was put out of service and sold in 1973 to a French owner in Portes-les-Valence. Allegedly this locomotive still remains there stored away in a shed.

The LGB model is originally from a MZS starterset, and is thus factory equipped with a simple decoder.
Because of the low weight and thus traction problems, this locomotive has been completly rebuild. The locomotive has been equipped with all kinds of luxuries; a Massoth LS decoder with sound, Massoth pulsed smokegenerator, Heyn/Fertig decouplers and extra weight. This locomotive currently does a usefull job as a switcher at the switchingyard.
